What is Jikiden Reiki?

How does it work?

Reiki stimulates and assists the body's natural healing process promoting healing on all levels.

Injuries therefore heal much faster than usual and in the case of illness and disease the energy works with your body to eliminate the toxins at the heart of the problem. Your natural healing ability is given extra energy to help bring your system back into balance.

Jikiden Reiki is a simple, hands-on therapy originating in Japan. It is totally natural, safe, non-invasive and has incredible applications for a wide variety of conditions.

This energy treatment was originally used in Japan to help people recover from serious conditions as well as stress, anxiety and everyday ailments. However, as it moved to the West, it underwent a process of Westernization and branched into a huge variety of types of Reiki, each with their own philosophy.

Jikiden Reiki is Reiki used according to the original Japanese method and philosophy. It has recently been brought to the West in an effort to give Westerners access to the simple, grounded and effective way Reiki was first used.

Jikiden Reiki can help with...

Injury

Anything from cuts and scrapes to pulled muscles and broken bones will heal much faster and more effectively with Reiki. Sportsmen and sportswomen often find it very helpful as it can significantly reduce their recovery time.

Stress & Anxiety

Stress and anxiety respond very well to Reiki. Usually people feel some effects after the first treatment but a course of treatment helps to bring about a lasting feeling of more calm and an ability to respond and cope better to everyday life.

Illness

Back & Neck

A great number of people suffer from back and neck problems today. Reiki will not only help to relieve the pain, it will also work with your body to naturally bring it back to it's original alignment.

Sleep

One Reiki treatment can relax your body enough to give you a good night's sleep. However, a course of treatment can really help get to the heart of the problem and improve sleep more consistently.

Reiki can be used to support and help people with all kinds of health conditions, from short term illness to longer term disease. It can reduce pain and inflammation, but more importantly helps your body to eliminate the toxins at the heart of the illness and bring your system back to greater health.

What People Say...

"I suffer with a chronic disease that keeps me in pain and discomfort every day. Before I turned to Western medicine I tried many alternative therapies, including Reiki. Most often they did not work or provided me with a very short period of relief. I was certainly skeptical to try another Reiki treatment so was surprised when I felt better in all ways after a treatment with Connie.

Then when I went for my blood test I was surprised to see improved blood and liver counts! It wasn't all in my head! These treatments work." MS

What does 'Reiki' mean?

Reiki in a Japanese dictionary is often described as, 'miraculous energy that fills the forest'.

In Japan, the ancient way of understanding life is that we are all connected to the same source of life and energy. People, nature, animals and plants have the same essence and so we all have access to the same natural energy - Reiki. We are designed to live in appreciation and harmony with all these things and to be able to restore our natural balance physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Reiki assists us to do this.

What does Jikiden mean?

Jikiden means, 'directly taught' or 'directly passed down'.

Chiyoko Yamaguchi and her son, Tadao chose this name to illustrate that they were passing on what she and her family had learned in the 1930s from Chujiro Hayashi, one of the original teachers, unchanged.

Reiki used as a healing method was discovered by Mikao Usui in 1922. He taught 20 teachers and one of those teachers was Chujiro Hayashi.

In the days Chiyoko Yamaguchi and her family learned and practiced Reiki, it was quite prolific in Japanese society. The Japanese Navy used it on their ships as it lessened the need for medical supplies and many midwives and mothers were using it extensively. Two of Chiyoko Yamaguchi's close family members were cured of TB using Reiki, which was often fatal in those days.

Jikiden Reiki is based on more than 60 years of treatment and teaching experience the Yamaguchi family have.

Jikiden Reiki also helps with...

Treatment experience has shown that people with autism and learning difficulties respond well to Reiki. Most report feeling calmer and able to manage life much more easily.

Some are able to receive Reiki in person while others are more comfortable receiving remotely.

Poor digestive health is often at the heart of many health issues and imbalances in the body. Reiki assists  your body in bringing your digestive system back into balance. Those with specific digestive problems will find a course of treatment very helpful.

Reiki can help with a variety of women's issues including hormone imbalance, menopause, ovarian cysts, period pain and bladder infections.

Emotional Issues

Reiki helps to release emotions stored in the body. These emotions are often at the root cause of physical health problems.

There is also a specific psychological Reiki method that can be used to help you move through particular issues or habits you feel stuck with in your life.

Infections

Because Reiki assists your body in healing naturally, it is very effective when used to help prevent or eliminate infection.

The sooner you receive Reiki after an infection begins, the more quickly it will heal.

After operations it is indispensable when used to recover quickly without complications.
